About

At 23, I am just a wee lad, but I have derived much joy from a great many things! (Some have said to me that I will enjoy these great many things less and less as I get older, and probably get sadder and meaner and jaded-er too. I doubt it, and suspect that they may just be projecting, but I'm plenty glad to be right where I'm at right now.) People tend to bring me the greatest joy, whether it be through laughing/crying with them, hearing their stories, or simply observing them behave in the wild (e.g. impatiently grabbing food at Walmart, trying awkwardly to make conversation with a waiter, in the library with a young child, etc.) People also tend to lead to my greatest anxieties, too.

I use music as one way to share my many stories about the people I have met in my life and the person I have been and/or want to become. Music has the unique ability to be incredibly emotional in a way that makes people go, "Heck yeah, that feels amazing!" Some of the best music makes me genuinely cry merely from the way it's been composed or the way it just happens to hit me in the moment. In sharing my feelings, experiences, and observations through my music, I hope to make you (the listener) genuinely feel something. Honestly, it's none of my beeswax what that something is. But if you find yourself listening to one of my songs and going, "mm, okay, sure, whatever," please skip the song and find something that hits harder in the moment. I promise there'll be something in my catalog that means something to you!

I currently have two full albums released (Fairytale Beginnings and Chasing Sunsets), as well as a bunch of singles and a back catalog of more than enough songs for some more albums. They are entirely self-produced (except for my first ever song, Neverland), and I am entirely self-taught (except for a tiny bit of guitar, some voice lessons in college, and piano lessons when I was five.) I tend to hover around the indie folk/acoustic/rock/pop genres, but I don't love labels, and I definitely want to continue to branch out and take risks as I go along my own personal music journey. I typically put a lot of emphasis on my lyricism, so many of my songs thus far have a focus on one main voice telling a story through unique imagery, metaphor, characters, or just an exploration of the depths of a single feeling. Some of my songs take on fun little lyrical challenges as well (shoutout to Alphabet Soup, my alphabetical love song, and Crumbling Away, my little emo rap song that doesn't contain the letter E!)

Expect more music and other creative ventures from me along the way, whenever I get an opportunity amidst teaching high school English Language Arts and creating that space to engage with young people in exploring their own creative voices! Follow me on YouTube and TikTok for some more diverse creative endeavors and music videos, or pop onto Spotify or your personal favorite streaming service to listen to my full catalog of music and be the first to know when a new song drops! I'll see you there!
