A 25-year-old singer-songwriter based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, I am finally returning to my music and giving it the care and time it deserves. I got my teaching license in 2022 and worked as a teacher for two years in Illinois and Colorado, and since moving back to Florida in 2024, have devoted the majority of my energy and time into my work as a life coach serving local LGBTQ+ youth by providing free mental health care and community programming. I am incredibly devoted to this work, and am grateful for the daily opportunities I get to balcony the teens and young adults I work with by helping them find and cultivate their passions. I have increasingly come to realize, though, that to be able to give so much of my love and care to supporting the young people I work with, it is incredibly important to take care of my own passions and creativity as well. Because of this, I've made it my recent goal to be intentional about actively building musical and artistic community in my life again. Over the past year, I have hosted community open mic nights, supported talented local artists, written and produced several new songs, and shared my original music in local showcases and music events. I want to keep on pushing my music further and further, both by taking new risks with my writing/production and by expanding my reach through performing in new spaces.
I currently have two full albums out (Fairytale Beginnings and Chasing Sunsets), as well as a bunch of singles and a back catalog of more than enough unreleased songs for multiple new albums! I'm hoping to release my next EP around the start of 2026, which will be a collection of songs about loss, change, and growth, highlighting my experiences and emotional journeys over the past couple of years. Style-wise, I tend to hover around the indie folk/acoustic/rock/pop genres, but I don't love labels, and I definitely want to continue to branch out and take risks as I go along my own personal music journey. I typically put a lot of emphasis on my lyricism, and try to use my songs to tell vulnerable stories from my life and from my work with others. All of my released music is entirely self-produced (except for my first two songs, Neverland and Imaginary, which I made with Grammy-award-winning producer Paul Hoyle). Since I am fully self-taught as a producer, I am proud to see how my abilities have continued to evolve as I've released more and more music throughout the years; I hope you'll appreciate that growth as well.Â
I write and produce songs as an act of love for myself; recommitting over this past year to intentionality and consistency with my music is a direct form of self-care. Music is healing, and creativity is nourishing for me. That said, in sharing my music with you (The General Public) through live performance or releasing it on streaming services, I am more deeply expressing my feelings, experiences, and observations with you in the hopes that it will inspire you to genuinely feel something. Honestly, it's none of my beeswax what that something is. But if you find yourself listening to one of my songs and going, "mm, okay, sure, whatever," please skip the song and find something that hits harder in the moment. I promise there'll be something in my catalog that means something to you! Just like my work as a life coach, I want my music to create spaces where different stories, emotions, and experiences are seen, heard, and shared; we need community now more than ever, through whatever mediums we can experience it.
